General Introduction to ETRI Journal ETRI Journal (ISSN 1225-6463) is the official bimonthly journal of the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, Daejeon, Rep. of Korea. The purpose of ETRI Journal is to disseminate innovative technological ideas in the fields of information, telecommunications, and electronics within the R&D scope of ETRI. ETRI Journal is edited and published by Heung-Nam Kim, President, ETRI, 138 Gajeongno, Yuseong-Gu, Daejeon, 305-700, Rep. of Korea; sponsored in part by the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies and by the Korea Research Foundation Grant funded by the Korean Government (MOEHRD, Basic Research Promotion Fund); and printed by Jaesik Im, Lee M Design, Daejeon, Rep. of Korea. Publication registered on March 20, 1979 (Daejeon Ma-01015). ETRI Journal began publication in 1979 in Korean, and to establish itself as an international journal, converted to an all-English publication in 1993. In 1996 ETRI Journal began to be indexed in SCIE, and since 1998 it has appeared in SCI. ETRI Journal's impact factor in 2008 is 1.109.
